Sheriff sales are conducted at 9:00 a.m. in the lobby of the Outagamie County Justice Center, 320 S. Walnut Street, Appleton.
Successful bidders are required to have 10% of their bid in cash or certified check at the time of the sale, made payable to the Outagamie County Clerk of Courts. The balance of the successful bid must be paid to the Clerk of Courts in cash or certified check no later than ten days after the court’s confirmation of sale or the 10% down payment is forfeited to the plaintiff. The successful bidder is also responsible for all legal liens, encumbrances, and unpaid real estate taxes. All properties are sold “as is” and are not available for viewing. The bank, lending institution, or their attorney will place the opening bid at the time of the sale. Anyone else can then bid on the property. The property goes to the highest bidder.
