We currently have over 30 kids who are waiting for a mentor. Some of the kids have been on our waitlist for over a year. Please read about the following Spotlight Youth and consider if you have just a few extra hours a month to change the life of a child forever !

** Remember, we also match kids with mentoring couples and mentoring families.   What a great thing to do together!**

We have an artistic and creative 14 year old girl in Appleton who would love to spend time with a mentor hanging out at a bookstore or library, going out to eat at ethnic restaurants, going to cultural events, or doing arts and crafts. She would just like to get out of the house more and spend some quality one on one time with a caring adult doing interesting things in the community.

We also have an 11 year old boy in Appleton who would greatly benefit from having a mentor to hang out with. He lives with his mother and has never had contact with his father. He really needs a positive, caring male role model in his life! His interests include playing tag and football, writing stories, running, playing computer games. He would be up for just about any activity with a mentor. He would like to be a police officer when he grows up.

**If you are interested in learning more about becoming a mentor, now is the perfect time.  Every kid needs at least one caring, positive adult in their life. You don’t have to be or do anything “special” to be a mentor-you just have to be YOU!**

If interested, please call 920-832-2223 or 920-832-2460 or email hhsmentors@outagamie.org
