Public health nurses offer a variety of free programs to pregnant women and new moms and their babies. Some of the services offered are:
- Pregnancy Testing: We offer low-cost pregnancy tests in our office.
- Badgercare Express Enrollment: If you are pregnant and do not have adequate health insurance, a public health nurse will help you through the Badgercare Express Enrollment process. This is temporary, prenatal coverage available depending on your income.
- Prenatal Care Coordination (PNCC):* A public health nurse will meet with you in your home or our office to provide education, help you prepare for the birth of your baby, and connect you with other resources to improve the health of your baby.
- New Mom/Baby Visits:* After your baby is born, we will meet with you in your home or our office. Some of the services we can provide include weighing your baby, answering questions, breastfeeding support, and connecting you to any other resources you may need as you adjust to motherhood.
