Project Description

The Outagamie County Highway Department has plans to improve County D between STH 76 and County XX in the near future.  A drainage study was recently completed to identify and recommend drainage improvements throughout the project corridor. Another aspect of the project is to replace the failing pavement and base, re-shape and repave with new asphaltic pavement.  A portion of the shoulder will also be paved.

Project Status

Outagamie County will be closing County D between STH 76 and County XX in the Town of Deer Creek. This project will replace the existing asphalt pavement and incorporate several drainage and roadway improvements.  Culverts and other roadway appurtenances will also be replaced   or upgraded to current standards.

 Traffic Impacts

County D will be closed to thru traffic during construction with local access maintained.  2023 construction will primarily focus on the southern portion of the project from the STH 76 intersection to Oak Road.  The roadway  segment is anticipated to reopen to traffic during the winter season with construction occurring during both 2023 and 2024.

 Anticipated Start:                    Tuesday, August 8

Detour Route: STH 76 to USH 45 to CTH D/CTH XX
