Town of Buchanan

Project Description

This project is for design, right-of-way, and ultimate reconstruction of this segment of County N.  A 3-lane urbanized pavement section is planned as well as expanding the existing Emons/Buchanan Rd roundabout in order to improve capacity.  Federal funding has been awarded through the STP-Urban program.

Project Status

Right-of-way acquisition and utility coordination are currently ongoing.  Utility relocations are currently scheduled throughout 2024and 2025with roadway reconstruction rescheduled for 2026.

Traffic Impacts

County N closed to traffic in late July to allow for Phase 2 of watermain reconstruction.  Local and emergency access is being maintained.  A signed detour is in place and utilizes County KK, WIS 441, and County CE.  County N is currently scheduled to reopen to traffic in late August.
