Register of Deeds Suspends Counter Access

Services available on-line

Post Date:03/20/2020 10:31 AM

Beginning March 20, 2020, the Outagamie County Register of Deeds will take recommended health and safety precautions to protect the public and reduce the spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) by conducting all public services through online, mail and drop off options. Public access to the office will be unavailable in order to keep residents and employees safe while continuing to serve customers.

The office will remain staffed and staff will continue to process vital records applications, record real estate documents and fulfill document copy requests during regular business hours. They will also be available to answer phone calls and emails to assist customers with any questions they may have.   All Land Records are also available to view and purchase online.  Customers are urged to call the office for any emergency situations.  We are here to help.

“The health and safety of our employees and customers remains our top priority,” said Outagamie County Register of Deeds Sarah Van Camp. “Limiting physical access allows the public and our staff to conduct business without jeopardizing their health. It also insures maintaining the social distance necessary to limit the spread of the corona virus in our community.”

The Outagamie County Register of Deeds Office will continue to closely monitor the impact of COVID-19 on the community and will determine when the office will reopen at a later date, based off of the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Wisconsin Department of Health Services and Outagamie County Public Health.
