Recent News: The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Department has received a number of inquiries concerning hunting regulations in townships and other jurisdictions within the county. The local ordinances in place may vary widely from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, and town to town. Therefore, we recommend prior to hunting or using a firearm in your particular town or jurisdiction, that you contact your local government officials, and understand any and all ordinances that may affect your ability to hunt or discharge a firearm within that area or jurisdiction.

The mission of the Outagamie County Sheriff's Department is to enhance the quality of life in Outagamie County by working cooperatively with the public and within the framework of the U.S. Constitution to enforce the laws, preserve the peace, reduce fear and provide for a safe environment.
Law enforcement, in the course of performing its primary mission, is required to deal with both dangerous and difficult situations. The Outagamie County Sheriff's Department accepts this responsibility and supports its members in the accomplishment of these tasks. This means that the department encourages all employees, as the situation permits, to think before they act within the purview of their training.
