The mission of the Financial Services Department is to provide accurate recording of revenues and expenditures for all county funds according to generally accepted accounting principles and to report the utilization of revenues and expenditures to the operating departments, the public and other government agencies. This is accomplished through the following functions: accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, purchasing, risk management and workers compensation. The department provides assistance to the County Executive in preparing and administering the annual budget and provides financial analysis and advice to all county departments to aid in the policy and decision making process.
