How do I search for Property?

In the Interactive GIS map viewer, click on Parcel Search at the upper right of the screen. Enter the property address OR parcel number (It is usually best to use one field only). The parcel number search is the quicker and easier search of the two. Click Submit and you will see either an underlined blue parcel number, globe and tax year, or a screen indicating that the parcel could not be found. Follow the instructions posted below the input boxes for more help.

In the Land Records search page, the format is the same only without the map view. (return to top)

What sections in Outagamie County lie within two or more Townships?
When searching by legal description in LandShark, what is the meridian box used
for?

If you are searching legal descriptions by metes and bounds and you are at the meridian field, just hit the space bar and then tab. This will bring down your quarter-quarter drop down boxes and you can proceed with your search. In Outagamie County, the meridian box is used when a section lies within two or more townships, for instance, Hortonia and Liberty. By entering the abbreviation for Hortonia (H), only entries for the Hortonia portion will appear in your search results.

What/where is the GIS data?

GIS stands for Geographic Information Systems. GIS on our site is a collection of spatially similar data. In other words, it is a collection of different layers that occur in Outagamie County. Parcels, roads, rivers, addresses and so on are all different layers that occur in the same geographic location. They can be turned on and off to display different features for an individual parcel or for multiple parcels. You can locate the GIS data by agreeing to the disclaimer and entering the WEBGuide site.
