SPECIAL NOTICE: Non-Critical County Operations Closed MONDAY, April 16
Due to continuing, degraded weather conditions, only essential county services will be open Monday, April 16.
Department heads, staff and the general public are strongly advised to stay home and limit travel only on an emergency basis.Inquiries for specific county operations should be directed to the appropriate department or contact.
In addition to this notice, the 8th District Chief Administrative Judge has canceled ALL circuit court proceedings in the district, including Outagamie County.
Due to the critical nature of the work several Departments/Divisions (Highway, Sheriff, Brewster Village, Emergency Management, Maintenance, Airport, YFS, Crisis, etc.), it may be necessary for some employees to plan ahead for longer commute times, and/or any other back up plans in order to be present for scheduled shifts. We urge all employees to take extreme caution and exercise safety while commuting.Please refer to Chapter VII-11 of the Outagamie County Personnel Manual, which reads:
“Inclement weather may make it impossible for employees to come to work, or it may require employees to leave work before the end of normal office hours. Employees may request that this time off be charged to unused vacation, leave without pay, or choose to "make-up" the lost time with Department Head’s approval.
